My first computer, early 80s, was an Apple IIe. But when I realized how they kept a stranglehold on development, I switched to PC and never looked back.
Fast forward about 20 years and I fell for their hype and bought an iPod. The earbuds broke after about a month. Went to an Apple store and asked what they would do about it.
"Sell you a new one."
