The final big festival concert was The Who in Cincinnati. The thing with festival seating concerts is, you sat where you sat. First in got by the stage. When they opened the gates, the crowd stampeded and some fans were trampled to death.

There were still some smaller ones around — I went to quite a few in the ‘72–78 time frame, but they eventually went away.
