I write every day, but I started a bit later than ten. Maybe it was 11. Or 61. Something with a one in it.

But I didn't start gradually. I had been writing for over ten years fairly consistently. But once I decided to write every day, I had to jump in the deep end. I don't do gradual.

I also can't take a day off. Not only because that kills the every day thing. But I know from long experience that one day off will become two, then a week, then...

One day, I won't be a writer anymore.

And that's not acceptable. I can't keep all this shit in my head anymore.
