I tried Capture One for a while and own a copy. While I agree it is better for color editing, and I liked the program in general, there were some things that I didn’t like. The way it handled metadata, which is important in my workflow became a deal-breaker.

Every year or so, I branch out and try to replace Lightroom. I own a copy of just about every competition out there. In all that time, I discovered two things. One, I could work with any of them. But two, when I really needed to get some work done, I always came back to Lightroom.
