I enjoyed this read, partly because of my growth over the last 15 years as a photographer. I haven’t developed enough as a writer yet to spot my poor writing, but I can look back at images I shot in the early days and cringe. Shots I rated as 5 stars that wouldn’t even make the first cut today.

I also have the fortune and misfortune to mentor budding photogs and get similar responses from a few. “I know it’s fuzzy and crooked. It’s artistic.”
