How to Write Short-Form Non-Fiction Articles
Without Really Trying
And no, I’m not talking about AI or ChatGPT.
If you’ve been writing for any length of time, you already know this. But writing is hard. If you are brand new and think this is an easy way to make a quick buck, I recommend you looking elsewhere.

Of course, you have to know how to write. You need a basic grasp of grammar and a decent spell-checker.
But for many, writing is the easy part. The hard part is the research. Everybody hates research and avoids it like the plague, right?
Well, not really. We do research all day, every day. It’s called Google.
Every time something pops into your head, or you need to plan a trip, or find out about that new symptom you just contracted, you do research. We’ll spend hours gathering data about that Mediterranean Cruise next summer, and then balk at doing research for our next article.
Well, here’s an idea. Turn that research you are already doing into articles. A well-researched vacation could yield a dozen 400 word pieces. The planning you did for your niece’s wedding? That’s another half dozen pieces.
