A Quick Note to my 11,100 Followers
Eleven thousand followers! Wow. When did that happen?
But, whenever or however, I have a quick favor to ask.
What do you want to read about? What brings you here? What brings you back?
Despite the note in my profile that I have been a member since August, 2024 (Kinda hard to get 11K followers in 3 weeks), I’ve been here since 2019.
Over the first couple of years, I published over 500 articles on a variety of subjects. But then, except for short excursions to check back on, I’ve been mostly absent. I even let my paid membership lapse, hence the screwy date. Fortunately, it kept all my stories, fans and followers.
Part of the reason I left was I became burned out chasing SEO and racking up stats. As Roland say’s in Steven King’s The Gunslinger, I forgot the face of my father. I forgot why I came here to begin with. I stopped dancing with who brung me.
Lately, the fire has started burning again. There are things I want to say, and I still think this is the best place to say them.
And then today, as I was checking back in, I ran across this article, by Carmellita that said exactly what I was thinking.
I have many ideas bouncing around that I want to write about.
But, the 11,100 of you sustained me through all of this. So, what I’d like to know is…
